What up gang. Back with the real you know what’s the deal. Man, it seems like every week we’re mourning another rapper gone to violence. This has got to stop man. And it’s all the real ones being lost. It’s sad that today we’re doing a video on who some call the King of LA, Drakeo The Ruler.
What’s messed up isn’t just that his time was cut short, but because the name of another big LA star is being pointed out as the main suspect that set up Drakeo to be stabbed and taken out the rap game because of jealousy. Things are getting crazy in these hip hop streets. Let’s chop it up and break it down.
December 18th 2021, a day in rap history that would go down as one of the most tragic. The night started out on a high with fans from all around the country coming to the Once Upon a Time in L.A. concert at Banc of California Stadium. Carded to perform were big names like Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Three Six Mafia, YG and Drakeo The Ruler among other major label artists.
The venue was a vibe and there were hundreds if not thousands filling the venue turning up to their favorite Emcees
But things turned grim when paramedics responded to a report of a stabbing at the stadium in Exposition Park around 8:40 p.m. From the melee one person was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Reports soon began breaking out online of what occurred, but what shook the hip hop community and LA residents, were rumors that Drakeo The Ruler was the victim on the receiving end of the knife and things weren’t looking good for him.
Videos began circulating of the altercation that led to the knife being pressed into Drakeo’s neck. It looks like a brawl between a bunch of persons https://youtu.be/Z68fwKtlS3A (0:00-0:43) Then the chilling video surfaces, showing a bloody Drakeo The Ruler unresponsive on the floor as paramedics try their best to resuscitate him pumping on his chest https://youtu.be/R3QTjooMAe0 Normally in a scene like this you’d hear screaming, crying, fans shouting, but here, it was as if everyone was just holding their breath hoping to see some signs of life return to the LA honcho. Sadly, doctors called it in at the hospital after all attempts to save him failed https://youtu.be/uiXMdwbYFkc
Artists like the concert organizer, Snoop Dogg, and others like Drake paid their respects online
People were still dealing with the grief of Compton Emcee Slim 400
And now they’ve got to add Drakeo to the extending list and rappers gone.
The concert was shut down just after 10 pm with the boys in blue on the scene conducting investigations
The question they along with every one else was asking was, who was responsible? Over the years Drakeo The Ruler has become known for his connection with the crip gang, but was also cool with bloods as well. Somewhere along the line, him and the IFGB Inglewood Family Gangster Blood gang got into it, and this has been the main speculation that led to the events that caused his death. Before we go back to that situation, check out what Drakeo affiliate K7 The Finesser had to say on live about his passing.
Apparently according to him, LA rapstar YG is the one responsible for Drakeo’s death and that he set the entire thing up because he was jealous Drakeo was taking his spot https://youtu.be/JJ5DJm1RAWE (1:27-1:48)
K7 The Finesser went on to break down that everything was cool at the concert until YG and his crew came through with security that sneaked the murder weapon in https://youtu.be/JJ5DJm1RAWE (2:23-2:46) https://youtu.be/JJ5DJm1RAWE (0:30-0:36) That live might be the break in the case for cops. That’s the thing about emotion, sometimes you just go off it. You can tell bro is hurt over Drakeo and just needed to get things off his chest even if due to his lifestyle he broke the street code https://youtu.be/JJ5DJm1RAWE (0:58-1:16)
Now a lot of people say he’s reaching and that YG and Drakeo The Ruler never had beef. But…there is evidence to back up what K7 The Finesser is accusing YG of and I happened to find it. Now remember I mentioned Drakeo The Ruler had beef with Inglewood Family Bloods? Well, YG is widely known as a blood and had ties to the Inglewood Family Bloods. Let’s go back to the December 10th shooting of IFGB member Davion Gregory aka Red Bull.
Reports state that Gregory along with two homies were walking toward the entrance of a warehouse about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, where people had gathered for a “Naughty or Nice Pajama Jam.” As they walked up the driveway, at least one person began shooting, striking Red Bull and his homies. They would be transported to a nearby hospital, where Red Bull was pronounced dead at 1:51 a.m. https://homicide.latimes.com/post/davion-gregory/
Authorities reported that the two surviving victims stated seeing two suspicious vehicles, a black Mercedes SUV and a red Mustang or Benz. That evidence combined with the .40-glock pistol and a .38 revolver shell casings recovered at the scene got Drakeo The Ruler caught up as the main suspect alongside his Stinc Team members
Cops would make the connection to Drakeo and his crew through his music video for “Chunky Money” where all three pieces of evidence were seen, the Black SUV, .40-glock pistol and the .38 revolver https://youtu.be/abrw97hXfjk (0:35-0:41) https://youtu.be/abrw97hXfjk (2:15-2:20)
With the music video having all the suspects present, it was easy for officers to swoop them up. Drakeo The Ruler, his brother, Ralfy The Plug, and Kellz were all arrested for the crime. Cops would pin Drakeo as the one that lead the attack, stating that he supplied the straps for the hit and it began as a mission to catch his opp and Inglewood Family affiliate RJ lackin’.
Drakeo would be acquitted of first-degree murder, 5 attempted murders, conspiracy to murder and 2 gun charges in 2019 and released in 2020 https://youtu.be/NRlO_U3deJ8 (0:39-0:53)

This case goes a lot deeper so if you’d like me to do a video just on this beef let me know in the comments and I’ve got you.
Snaple Fact: the late Nipsey Hussle was the only rapper that reached out and offered to pay bail for Drakeo. Nip was real life solid.
Let’s step back a bit to the name brought up by authorities, RJ. Him and Drakeo The Ruler were actually cool and even did a song together with DJ Mustard in 2015 titled “Mr. Get Dough” https://youtu.be/urPflRJcZlM That friendship would turn sour when Drakeo fell out with DJ Mustard and RJ appeared to pick the side of DJ Mustard and it was up with Drakeo from then https://youtu.be/NRlO_U3deJ8 (3:02-3:29) But check this, RJ and YG are tight. They’ve done multiple tracks together like “Don’t Make Me Look Stupid” https://youtu.be/5XjGZWgJd6c In 2017 he even signed to YG & DJ Mustard’s 4Hunnid Summers record label.

So now everything’s coming full circle. Drakeo fell out with Mustard, got into a beef with RJ, and RJ is YG boy so YG ain’t cool with Drakeo either, and then there’s the whole Inglewood Family bloods beef. In this interview on No Jumper, YG hinted several times to the brewing beef, stating that he don’t beef on wax, if its go time then him and the homies on smoke https://youtu.be/B7o4nrDsJdY (0:24-0:32) https://youtu.be/B7o4nrDsJdY (2:42-2:55) Drakeo wasn’t backing down either, hopping on live to address who many speculate was YG when he rapped his lyrics “a rap dude gon get Swiss cheesed he say one more thing” https://youtu.be/OeBavqxiYLc (1:04-1:08) That back and forth lead to Drakeo The Ruler tagging YG himself online addressing him
Drakeo took it a step further, dropping the highly disrespectful track “IngleWEIRD” https://youtu.be/k-S2j9Uvxuc where he came for everyone associated with that part of town.
There’s no telling if what K7 The Finesser says about YG setting up Drakeo is true, but he’s an eyewitness of what happened and there is evidence of the beef between Drakeo and YG’s camp and YG on record saying he doesn’t beef on wax, if its up, him and his boys knocking you off. That’s why rappers need to be careful with that energy, because now LA lost a legend in their city and sure enough the cops probably already following the trail to YG.
It’s crazy man. Bro was doing well too. Beat life in prison, came out to get a Drake feature https://youtu.be/-9ohCjBrjBg plus has a popping catalog of great projects
Another lost to the violence. Another gone too soon. Another talent wasted. When will it end? Can it ever end? Do dudes even want it to end? Because now it seems like the current era loves the violence and bloodshed. At this very moment someone is probably bragging to their homies and saying they’re rolling up Drakeo in a pack. And that’s what has become cool. It’s sad man, really is. RIP Drakeo The Ruler. Fly high.
So there you have it. Thanks for kicking it with yah boy, appreciate the love and support. Share your favorite song from Drakeo in the comments, let’s be on some good vibes about his legacy. Catch ya’ll in the next one. Peace up and peace out.
