DRAZZ Takes “DRAZZTIC” Measures on His Upcoming Two-Song Project

Nigerian-born Afrobeats artist DRAZZ is preparing to enter a new chapter with DRAZZTIC, a two-song project scheduled for release on August 7. Featuring the tracks “Billie Eilish” and “Eject,” the project follows the emotional rise and fall of a relationship through two connected stories.

The title DRAZZTIC is derived from the phrase “drastic measures,” reflecting the difficult decision at the center of the project. Rather than presenting the songs as unrelated releases, DRAZZ uses them to build a concise narrative about attraction, imbalance and eventually walking away.

“Billie Eilish” introduces DRAZZ inside a relationship that initially appears to be going well. As the connection develops, however, he begins to question whether the affection is genuine or whether he is slowly being placed in a position where he must purchase love.

The song explores a familiar but complicated tension: the difference between generously providing for someone and feeling as though money has become the foundation of the relationship. What begins with romance gradually turns into doubt, forcing DRAZZ to reconsider the true nature of the bond.

That realization leads directly into “Eject,” the second half of the project.

On “Eject,” DRAZZ portrays himself taking the “DRAZZTIC” measures referenced in the project’s title. Instead of continuing to invest in a relationship that no longer feels balanced, he chooses to remove himself from it completely. The act of “ejecting” becomes both the song’s central metaphor and the conclusion to the story established on “Billie Eilish.”

Together, the two tracks capture the progression from emotional involvement to self-preservation. “Billie Eilish” represents the moment when suspicion begins to replace comfort, while “Eject” represents the decision to finally leave.

The connected concept gives DRAZZTIC a clear beginning and ending despite its compact two-song format. It also allows DRAZZ to approach Afrobeats as a storytelling vehicle, combining memorable melodies with a narrative listeners can follow from one track to the next.

The upcoming release continues the momentum DRAZZ has been building throughout the UK. His single “Of Course” has accumulated more than 50,000 streams across digital platforms, introducing a growing audience to his blend of Afrobeats, melody and personal storytelling.

Beyond streaming, DRAZZ has also demonstrated his ability to connect with listeners in person. He independently organized his own listening party, performed before a packed audience at O2 Academy Bournemouth and headlined The Afrobeats Set during Africa Comes to Bournemouth. He is also set to appear as part of The Afrobeats Set at the upcoming Arts by the Sea Festival.

Each achievement reflects an artist developing his career independently while remaining connected to his Nigerian roots. Instead of chasing every passing trend, DRAZZ has continued to build his audience through consistency, live performances and music that draws from recognizable human experiences.

With DRAZZTIC, he turns a deteriorating relationship into a complete two-part story. The first song identifies the problem. The second takes the drastic action necessary to escape it.

DRAZZTIC, featuring “Billie Eilish” and “Eject,” arrives August 7.
