THE WEST COAST LIVES ON IN DA PROBLEM CHILDREN

Hip hop has long been a staple in the west coast, and rap duo Da Problem Children continues to upload its legacy.

Representing the Bay to LA, west coast legends Da Problem Children are continuing to put their city on the map with the consistent release of music to hip hop purists’ delight. The group comprises of super producer Mark V, who has handled the task of mix Engineer for artists like Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Run-DMC, and Andre Nickatina among others, and Stylie Ray, who is known for his genius behind the hooks. Every track from Da Problem Children, comes with critical acclaim. This has been the reason for the group being enlisted by artists and musicians the like, from Grammy-nominees and touring musicians, to classic artists.

Their sound is evergreen and always hits as heavy as their lyricism and the content embodied in their music. They make music on life, reflecting the trials and tribulations that we all journey through, by use of their unique blend of genres whether Rap, Urban, Latin, Soul, Gospel, or Rock.

They are masters of the craft, and the release of their new single, “Half the Distance,” holds true to the level of perfection to which they create their songs. “Half The Distance” is alternative West Coast hip hop at its finest. They feature grammy nominated artists their tracks. Bass is often played by Corey McCormack from Neil Youngs band Promise Of The Real and RIP Chris Cornell’s band. We have Perico Hernandez playing percussion from the Grammy Nominated Caravana Cubana a Superstar Cuban group.

Andre Nickatina is a feature on a couple of our tracks. Stylie Ray is the genius behind many of the hooks but he also does verses as well and facilitates obtaining the performances from many many underground West Coast features on our songs. “Cali Sun” is about to hit 120K streams. The video will be uploaded today or tomorrow… and it is quite well done. “Half the Distance” is at 50K streams and growing daily. “Smooth Ride” is another West Coast classic sounding track with 32K streams and gaining streams everyday.

Da Problem Children has a lot more cooking in the booth, so don’t miss out on getting a taste by following their accounts:
