NLE Choppa Advocates for Equality at Atlanta Black Pride Event

On September 1, NLE Choppa performed at The Bank in Atlanta as part of the city’s Black Pride Weekend celebrations. During his set, the Memphis rapper emphasized the importance of equality and acceptance for all individuals, regardless of their identity.

Choppa addressed the crowd, stating, “A lot of motherfkers had asked me, ‘You’re a rapper, what are you doing at a club like this?’ Well, I said, ‘Fk a n**ga. You want to know why? Every day, we wake up and fight [for] acceptance.’” He highlighted various aspects of identity, including race, sexuality, weight, and hair texture, reinforcing his belief that everyone deserves respect.

“I believe in one thing: I feel like everybody is equal no matter how they drink their water, how they eat their food, how they piss, st, or mother fking sleep,” he continued. Choppa made it clear that his presence at the event was not for publicity or views, but to show genuine support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Since the release of “SLUT ME OUT 2” in April, Choppa has become a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, receiving significant recognition at Pride events. The song’s visuals have amassed over 16 million views on YouTube. He expressed gratitude for the community’s support, stating, “I was raised to fk with who fk with you! So, thank y’all for appreciating my craft. My music [is] for all. We do NO discrimination.”

In August, “SLUT ME OUT 2” received a country remix featuring J.P., the creator of the viral hit “Bad Bitty.” Earlier this year, Choppa also released his anticipated project, Cottonwood 2, which features collaborations with artists like Lil Wayne and Kevin Gates.
