Metro Boomin Announces Release Date for Highly Anticipated Project ‘A Futuristic Summa’

Metro Boomin’s forthcoming mixtape, “A Futuristic Summa,” is set for release on July 22 and will be hosted by DJ Spinz. The newly revealed cover art is rich with tributes and references, including nods to his previous “HEROES & VILLAINS” project, a “Boominati Don’t Trust You” mention, and depictions of two children wearing t-shirts honoring the late Takeoff and Young Scooter. These tributes reflect Metro’s past collaborations with both artists, such as his production on Migos’ chart-topping “Bad and Boujee” and his work with Young Scooter on tracks like “Jugg Season” and “Disfunction.”

The mixtape is expected to feature 20 tracks and introduces what Metro describes as an “all-new cast” of collaborators. This suggests listeners may not see the usual heavy involvement from artists like Future, 21 Savage, Young Thug, and NAV, opting instead for fresh contributions from Quavo, Jmoney, and Roscoe Dash, among others. The recent single “Slide,” assisted by Roscoe Dash, is anticipated to be included in the project.

Metro Boomin’s latest release follows an already eventful year, with his back-to-back collaborative albums “WE DON’T TRUST YOU” and “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU” alongside Future, both of which delivered standout tracks featuring the likes of Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky. As anticipation builds, fans look forward to the new direction and Easter eggs woven throughout “A Futuristic Summa.”
