Usher’s Son’s Sneaky DM to PinkPantheress: A Heartwarming Exchange

Earlier this year, Usher shared a wild tale about how his 15-year-old son Naviyd Ely Raymond used his dad’s phone to connect with PinkPantheress on Instagram. Fans got a glimpse of their DM exchange and the happy ending – Naviyd attending one of her shows. But now, the “Pain” singer has finally shared her side of the story.

In an episode of Complex’s “What’s In Your Phone?”, PinkPantheress hilariously recalled the situation. “I thought it was Usher, but it was actually Usher’s son. I was like, ‘Oh my goodness,'” she said. “His son being like, ‘Oh my God,’ then Usher, two minutes later, being like, ‘I’m so sorry. My son is a superfan.’ That was pretty wild.”

After their interaction, Naviyd attended PinkPantheress’ show. “He was the sweetest, really lovely. He gave me some lovely gifts for my birthday. Then he FaceTimed Usher, and I met Usher on FaceTime. That was really fun,” she explained.

PinkPantheress also shared the backstory behind a photo with Tyla and Ice Spice taken during her “Capable of Love Tour” in New York. “I knew Ice was going to pop out, and I was super stoked, but to have both of them there, I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is crazy.’ At some point, we were all like, ‘We need to document this,’ and we did, and the rest is history.”

In May, PinkPantheress released “Turn it up,” her first solo single since 2023’s “Heaven knows” which featured Rema, Central Cee and more.
