Coi Leray recently announced the upcoming release of her EP titled “Lemon Cars,” executive produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, scheduled to be available on streaming platforms on May 24. This EP marks her first full-length project under Island Records, following her previous releases, COI and Blue Moon, which debuted under Republic Records in 2023. Tracks from her previous work included songs like “Liquor and Weed,” “Wicked Butterflies,” and “Isabel Marant.”
The anticipated “Lemon Cars” EP is set to feature tracks like “Can’t Come Back” and “Wanna Come Thru,” with the former already garnering over 178,000 views on YouTube. Leray described “Wanna Come Thru” as a song celebrating self-love and maturity, emphasizing the importance of embracing one’s womanhood and femininity as they grow older.
Mike WiLL expressed his excitement for the project, calling it a culture-shifting record that instantly puts listeners in a positive mood. He predicted that the song would be a No. 1 hit and hinted at more exciting music to come. Leray will release the title track for “Lemon Cars” on Friday, accompanied by visuals featuring her pole dancing in a video directed by Dragan Andic, just a day before her 27th birthday.
Fans can also catch Leray as a supporting act on Jhené Aiko’s “The Magic Hour Tour” in June, alongside artists like Tink, UMI, and Kiana Ledé.
