Lil Uzi Vert is feeling like Prince.
After embedding a pink diamond in his forehead, the rapper has given himself a new name inspired by music royalty. JAY-Z and Roc Nation Sports president Juan “OG” Perez told Uzi that he reminded them of the late “Purple Rain” icon. So Uzi decided to call himself Lil Prince.
“OG and Hov said I’m Like Prince ..so I’m Lil Prince now,” he told his 8 million Twitter followers.

This is the latest nickname for the 26-year-old MC, born Symere Bysil Woods, who also goes by Baby Pluto and Uzi London.
Lil Uzi Vert, who signed with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation in 2019, also thanked his mentors for their support. “Thank you … Des Juan and Hov. Changing my life as we speak,” he said.
Last week, Uzi Lil Prince implanted a natural pink diamond in his forehead, claiming it gave him special powers. The nearly 11-carat gem, which caused him to bleed from the head, cost a reported $24 million and took four years to pay off.
“I can’t believe I got this Stone either moving super different now,” said Lil Uzi Vert.
