Drake is giving props to the Bawse.
The Toronto rapper took to Instagram to declare Rick Ross the “greatest rapper alive.” He shared a video of Rozay alongside OVO Sound’s newest signee Smiley, while showering them both with praise.
“The greatest rapper alive met my favorite rapper alive,” he captioned his IG Story.
Drake previously revealed his top 5 rappers and Ross was not on the list, which included The Notorious B.I.G., JAY-Z, Lil Wayne, André 3000, and his OVO affiliate Hush aka Young Tony.
Drake and Ross have collaborated numerous times throughout the years. They most recently worked together on “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Back in April, Ross said a joint album with Drake was on the table. “After our latest release, ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle,’ we had that conversation and it’s most definitely under serious consideration. Real talk,” he told Streetz 94.5.
Drake also shared a photo of himself in the studio while fans await his album Certified Lover Boy, which is expected to arrive by the end of summer. Meanwhile, he can be heard alongside Smiley on the rising Toronto rap star’s single “Over the Top.”
