Logic is dusting off the mic.
After coming out of retirement earlier in the month, the Maryland rapper has launched a new duo with Madlib called MadGic. HipHop-N-More reveals that the two have already dropped their first song, “Mars Only Pt. 3,” which finds Logic spazzing over a Madlib beat.
“It’s the M-A-D to the G-I-C / Logic and Madlib is MadGic, your catalog tragic / F**k a underground, f**k a pop sound,” he raps.
Bobby Tarantino goes on to reveal that he and Madlib recorded an entire album together during the pandemic. “Made this whole album in a lockdown / Hip-hop is our town / Hairline like Doc Brown but I’m killin’ it, mad villainous.”
Earlier this month, Logic dropped his surprise track “Tired in Malibu,” on which he revealed that he was returning to rap after a brief retirement.
“Retired for a minute, but I guess I’m back, man,” raps Logic, who announced that he was hanging up the mic to focus on his family. In July, he released his sixth and final album No Pressure.
