Meek Mill is under fire over the lyrics to his new song.
On his leaked collaboration with Lil Baby, the Dream Chasers rapper references the fatal helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and several others in January 2020.
“Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” Meek raps on the track, which is reportedly titled “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe).”

But social media was not having it. Soon after, Meek’s name began trending as fans called him out for the insensitive and disrespectful bars. The song has since been removed from social media and other platforms.

Meek appeared to address the backlash, blaming his detractors for jumping on the anti-Meek bandwagon.
“somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….shit like zombie land or something! Lol,” he tweeted on Wednesday night. “They paying to influence y’all now … its almost like mind control ‘wake up.’”

It’s been an eventful week for Meek. Over the weekend, he nearly came to blows with 6ix9ine outside a club in Atlanta. Tekashi reportedly ran up on him, hurling insults while filming the confrontation on his phone. Meek claims the “feds sent him to take me out” and that he spat on him during the scuffle.
