Soulja Boy and 21 Savage’s Hometown Feud Escalates

Over the weekend, Soulja Boy and 21 Savage engaged in a lighthearted exchange of jabs, diverging from the typical trend of escalating rap feuds through music.

Today, the “Turn My Swag On” artist tweeted, dismissing 21 Savage’s comments by stating, “21 is speaking on my name; he must be trippin’. I cannot be scared of a n**ga from Great Britain.” It’s worth noting that Savage relocated from London to Atlanta at the age of 7.

After obtaining permanent U.S. residency in 2023, the Grammy-winning rapper embarked on a brief tour across Europe and the U.K., headlining London’s The O2 arena. In response to Soulja Boy’s tweet, Savage retorted in a now-deleted post, referring to Soulja Boy as “Big Soulja from Mississippi,” highlighting his roots. Notably, Savage, originally from Chicago, grew up in Atlanta before moving to Mississippi at 14 years old.

A Twitter user accused Savage of being a “colonizer,” insinuating that he concealed his London upbringing until facing immigration issues. In response, Savage defended himself, questioning why he would disclose his immigration status. He also shared personal experiences, emphasizing his deep ties to Atlanta and contrasting them with his brief time in London.

In a separate tweet, Savage elaborated on his upbringing, detailing significant life events in Atlanta and debunking misconceptions about his background. This exchange between Soulja Boy and 21 Savage adds a new chapter to their playful banter, diverging from the more serious tone of past rap beefs.
