JID has publicly expressed interest in collaborating with Doechii, sparking excitement among fans eager to see the two artists team up. Commenting on Doechii’s Instagram post promoting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, JID wrote, “Doechii, I got a song for you,” hinting at a possible verse or hook feature. While Doechii has yet to respond, fans are already enthusiastic about the potential collaboration between these prominent figures from Dreamville Records and Top Dawg Entertainment.

Both artists have quickly become influential in their respective camps. Doechii, known as the “Swamp Princess,” recently won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and has maintained her momentum through festival performances and high-profile features with artists like The Weeknd and JENNIE. JID, whose forthcoming album God Does Like Ugly is set to release on August 8, is preparing to expand his discography with this highly anticipated project.

JID has already worked with Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates such as Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad, making a collaboration with Doechii a natural next step. The album’s only confirmed single so far is “WRK,” but a deluxe version or last-minute studio sessions could open the door for Doechii’s feature. Recent preluxe tracks include “Animals (Pt. I)” featuring Eminem, “Knew Better” with Lil Yachty, and “Lisa” with 6LACK, although it remains uncertain if these will appear on the final 15-track album.

The potential collaboration is seen as a promising sign of a new wave in Southern experimental rap, bringing together two rising stars from major labels with distinct styles and strong creative visions. Fans eagerly await more news on the collaboration as JID’s album release approaches.
