GloRilla, Doechii, Jill Scott, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Nija, Lady London, and others will be honored at the Femme It Forward “Give Her FlowHERS” Awards Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, November 8. This event, presented by Live Nation and taking place in Beverly Hills, aims to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Black women in music. This marks the third annual gala organized by Femme It Forward, with executive production by Miatta Johnson and Massah David of MVD Inc.
The awards will feature several notable recognitions: GloRilla will receive the Big Femme Energy Award, while rising star Doechii is set to be honored with the Visionary Award. The My Sister’s Keeper Award will be presented to sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey for their multi-faceted talents. Additionally, Lady London and Nija will be recognized for their songwriting skills and embodiment of self-love, respectively.
Heather Lowery expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “We are beyond excited to bring the Give Her FlowHERS Awards Gala back for a third year. This celebration isn’t just about recognition; it’s about planting seeds for a legacy that will last long after us.” She emphasized the importance of honoring women who are reshaping culture and supporting emerging creatives in their journeys.
The gala will also feature performances from up-and-coming artists such as Jai’Len Josey, Tanner Adell, Amaria, and Zyah Belle, along with a DJ set from DJ Faucet. The ceremony will be hosted by MC Lyte. Femme It Forward plans to acknowledge women who have significantly impacted its mentorship program, Next Gem Femme, which aims to enhance career opportunities for young women of color.
Past honorees have included notable figures like Maeta, SZA, Teyana Taylor, and Lori Harvey.
