In July, Rihanna inquired about GloRilla’s album release, and now the Memphis rapper has officially announced that her debut album, GLORIOUS, will drop on October 11.
On September 19, GloRilla shared the news via Instagram, expressing her gratitude and excitement for the upcoming release. She also revealed that her new single, HOLLON, will be available at midnight on September 20. Fans responded enthusiastically, with comments from fellow artists like Anycia and Megan Thee Stallion, as well as playful remarks from brands like Sprite.
The track HOLLON was initially teased in August but faced some controversy over its lyrics, prompting GloRilla to revise them. The updated version features bold lines about her confidence and assertiveness in the industry.
While the full tracklist for GLORIOUS has not been disclosed, fans anticipate that the previously released single TGIF, which has garnered over 43 million views on YouTube and peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100, will be included.
GloRilla has had a prolific year, releasing her mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang in April and touring with Megan Thee Stallion for the Hot Girl Summer Tour. The two artists have also expressed interest in collaborating on a joint project in the future. GloRilla’s rising star is evident as she continues to make waves in the hip-hop scene with her distinctive style and powerful presence.
