Megan Thee Stallion Celebrates Fan Support After Hosting and Performing at the 2024 MTV VMAs

On September 11, Megan Thee Stallion showcased her hosting prowess at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, delivering a memorable performance that solidified her status as one of the event’s best hosts.

Kicking off the ceremony in an Olympics-inspired one-shoulder leotard, Megan playfully acknowledged fellow Houstonian and gold medalist Simone Biles, humorously declaring, “I deserve a gold medal for being a bad b**ch.” The night celebrated 40 years of iconic moments, and Megan paid tribute to Britney Spears’ legendary 2001 performance by donning a similar outfit and wrapping a snake around her arms. In a viral moment, she jokingly remarked, “I don’t know this snake. This snake [doesn’t] know me. I tried to hold it down for Britney,” after requesting the music be turned off.

Expressing her gratitude on Instagram the following day, she wrote, “I feel so grateful, so happy, so proud, so loved, [and] so appreciative. So many Hotties were screaming at THEE HOTGIRL, I could barely hear myself talk.”

Megan also brought her star power to the stage, performing a medley that included “BOA,” “B.A.S.,” and her latest hit “Mamushi,” during which she introduced Japanese artist Yuki Chiba, saying, “All the way from Japan for the first time, Yuki!”

In terms of accolades, Megan won Best Trending Video for “Mamushi” and Best Art Direction for “BOA.” Fans took to social media to celebrate her achievements, with one tweeting, “Megan Thee Stallion [has] been everywhere this year. She ain’t going nowhere, so y’all need to just get used to it.” Another user noted her efforts to highlight Yuki Chiba during their performance.

Overall, Megan Thee Stallion’s dynamic hosting and performances made for an unforgettable night at the VMAs, further establishing her as a prominent figure in the music industry.
