Nicki Minaj Sued by Superfan for $5 Million

Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million lawsuit from a fan, Tameer Peak, who claims he has been publicly humiliated and slandered by the rapper. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, accuses Minaj of bullying and defamation, with Peak alleging that she labeled him a “stalker” and a “paid mole” sent to sabotage her career. Peak, who describes himself as a dedicated fan for the past 15 years, asserts that he promoted her 2023 album, Pink Friday 2, and claims that Minaj invited him to her hotel only to ridicule him in front of a large audience on social media.

In addition to the emotional distress caused by the alleged public embarrassment, Peak also claims that Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, physically assaulted him during a Super Bowl event in 2020. He contends that Minaj later sent him a message about the incident, further complicating their relationship.

Minaj’s representatives have responded to the lawsuit, stating that Peak has been harassing her on social media for years and is now attempting to exploit her financially with what they describe as baseless allegations. Her attorney, Judd Burstein, indicated that Peak would likely regret pursuing this legal path, as California law requires him to cover her legal fees if the case is dismissed.

Public reaction to the lawsuit has been mixed, with some fans criticizing Peak for his behavior, suggesting that his constant presence at her events and online discussions about her could be seen as stalking. Despite the legal troubles, Minaj is preparing to embark on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, where she will be joined by BIA and Tyga.
