Halle Bailey and her sister Chlöe have always been incredibly close, and that bond only grew stronger when Halle became a mother. In a recent Instagram Live session, the sisters shared the heartwarming story of how Chlöe found out about Halle’s pregnancy with baby Halo.
According to Halle, she called Chlöe immediately after discovering she and boyfriend DDG were expecting. “I had to go to the airport right away, and I picked up my phone and I called Chlöe. I think [she] was like, ‘No way.’ I think she didn’t believe me,” Halle recalled. “She thought I was joking when I told her, and then I just remember hearing [her gasp]. She was happy for me immediately.”
Chlöe echoed her sister’s excitement, expressing how overjoyed she was for Halle and DDG. “I was so excited because, you know, he’s like my baby as well. I just really, really love him. He just makes me so happy; I can’t explain it. I was just ecstatic from day one, to be honest.”
While Chlöe is thrilled to have baby Halo in her life, she’s in no hurry to start a family of her own just yet. In a recent cover story for HelloBeautiful, Chlöe shared that she feels pressure from society to “settle down and have kids,” but she’s content with focusing on her career for now. “Sometimes, we get pressured by society. I just turned 26, and sometimes they’re like, ‘You have to settle down and have kids and do that,'” she explained. “But I’m like, I can have a little bit more time because I have the best nephew in the world, and it’s like I get [the] best of both worlds.”
On the music front, Chlöe and Halle have been keeping busy. Earlier this month, they blessed fans with their first collaboration since 2020, “Want Me,” which appeared on Chlöe’s sophomore solo album, Trouble In Paradise. The project also features guest appearances from Ty Dolla Sign, YG Marley, Jeremih, and Anderson .Paak.
As for Halle, she hasn’t released much new music in 2024 aside from “In Your Hands” in March and a surprise feature on DDG’s “If I Want You” re-release in August. With a new baby at home, it’s understandable that her focus has shifted, but fans are eagerly awaiting her next musical offering.
