In the midst of promoting his newly released debut album I’ll Always Come Find You, Blxst revealed that his home was burglarized earlier this week. The singer took to Instagram on Friday, July 19, to share footage of three men breaking into his residence through the patio door.
According to TMZ, Blxst’s children and a nanny were present during the incident, which likely prompted the intruders to flee shortly after. In his emotional post, Blxst expressed his frustration and heartbreak at being away from his family during this challenging time in his career. He shared the distressing phone call from his son, who informed him of the break-in at 4 a.m.
“Words can’t express the frustration and the emptiness in my heart and soul not being able to be there to protect my boys,” Blxst wrote. He acknowledged his humble nature but questioned who he can trust, stating, “I’m just glad my family [is] good overall.” Despite his anger, Blxst expressed his willingness to fight for his loved ones, saying, “I’m in [a] position to go to war and willing to die behind mine.”
The rapper concluded his post by asking for prayers, which were answered by fellow artists such as Ty Dolla Sign, Busta Rhymes, Pusha T, and Zoe Osama in the comments section.
Blxst’s debut album I’ll Always Come Find You, released on July 19, features 20 tracks split into four acts. The album includes collaborations with Joony, Offset, Fatman Scoop, Amanda Reifer, Ty Dolla Sign, 2 Chainz, Anderson .Paak, and Kamasi Washington. Songs like “Rewind” and “Dance With The Devil” showcase Blxst’s versatility as an artist.
Although Blxst has not announced a formal tour, he plans to host a pop-up event on Slauson Ave on Saturday, July 20. The event will feature a meet-and-greet and a listening session for his debut album.
