Megan Thee Stallion’s Pete and Thomas Foundation has partnered with Bread of Life Inc. to address the challenges faced by senior citizens in Houston following the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl. The hurricane left over 2 million residents without power, prompting the organizations to initiate an Emergency Power Program that will provide electrical generators to help seniors prepare for future crises.
Megan expressed her concern for the elderly in her hometown, stating, “It’s been painful to watch the elderly population in Houston suffer without electricity during these devastating storms. That’s why we wanted to partner with Bread of Life to take a strategic approach to this problem and secure generators to help protect our senior citizens.” She emphasized the importance of equipping elders with the necessary resources to withstand emergencies.
Rudy Rasmus, founder of Bread of Life, highlighted the urgency of the situation, noting that recent storms have underscored the vulnerability of seniors. He stated, “We want to expand our support of the most vulnerable people in the city, and Hurricane Beryl, the derecho, and other storms have highlighted that our seniors are in dire need of assistance.” The partnership aims to distribute generators to senior personal care homes to ensure uninterrupted service during power outages.
In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Megan is currently concluding the U.K. and European leg of her “Hot Girl Summer Tour.” Recently, she updated her merchandise collection with new items, including a two-piece set, tote bag, trucker hat, and bathing suits. Her latest album, MEGAN, released in June, features contributions from various artists and was performed live during her London concert on July 17.
