Beyoncé’s latest album, COWBOY CARTER, features a diverse range of artists from the country genre, including both established and emerging talents. Among the newcomers is Shaboozey, who contributed his vocals to “SPAGHETTII” and “SWEET HONEY BUCKIIN’.”
In a recent interview, Shaboozey shared his experience working on the album, which is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. He described the recording process as collaborative and fluid, with various artists working in different rooms and recording their parts at different times. “It’s cool how you don’t know until the last moment if your part made it or not,” Shaboozey said.
Shaboozey also praised legendary singer Linda Martell, who was featured on “SPAGHETTII.” “I admire her story. It’s cool how everything came together, and I’m really honored to be on a song with these two incredible individuals,” he shared.
Other Black country artists who contributed to the album include Tanner Adell, Reyna Roberts, Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, and Willie Jones. Notable names like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Post Malone, and Beyoncé’s daughter, Rumi Carter, were also featured on the project.
On Thursday, Beyoncé released a NOLA-inspired remix of the album’s standout track, “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM.” The remix features an updated instrumental and a new verse from Beyoncé that has received praise from fans online. To coincide with the remix’s release, Beyoncé launched a cryptic website, BEEN COUNTRY, which currently includes a few photos of the Grammy winner on its home page.
