Today, a video surfaced on March 28 showing what seemed to be Mariah the Scientist involved in a physical altercation, with another woman, allegedly named Cleo, seen throwing punches as onlookers tried to intervene. Following the video’s circulation, fans of the “Spread Thin” singer swiftly came to her defense, expressing outrage at the incident. One user exclaimed, “Oh, hell no, who put their hands on Mariah the Scientist? You will be dealt with, b**ch!” Another individual questioned, “How DARE y’all fight Mariah the Scientist?”
Regrettably, Staten Island rapper Cleotrapa was mistakenly linked to the altercation by some outlets, prompting her to clarify on Twitter, “I will never be on camera fighting anyone! Just register that. I’ve worked with so many brands, like stop playing with my name [for real].”
As of now, Mariah has not confirmed her involvement in the video that went viral. The singer recently embarked on her “To Be Eaten Alive Tour,” starting in Honolulu and moving through Europe and the U.S. However, due to illness, she had to postpone several tour dates, citing breathing difficulties and a persistent cough. This unexpected health issue led to further rescheduling of concerts, a first in her career, affecting her ability to perform as planned.
In October 2023, the Atlanta native released her album To Be Eaten Alive, featuring collaborations with Vory, 21 Savage, and Young Thug. Tracks like “From A Woman,” “Different Pages,” and “77 Degrees” were standout pieces from the album.
