Migos rapper Offset has announced that he will be hosting a listening party for his new album. On September 28, 2023, his label, EMI Records, announced they will preview “Set it Off” to attendees at a secret party in London on September 29, location TBA.
The label will allow a few lucky UK fans to attend the exclusive event. To enter the raffle, go to the announcement page on EMI’s website and pre-save the album before 5:30 on September 28.
The Atlanta legend has been busy with promotional content leading up to his album, with a clear choice to favor online virality. On September 15, he dropped the album’s first single and a self-directed music video.
“FANS” is a catchy trap track featuring their signature triplet-flow. The music video featured references to Micheal Jackson, with callbacks to “Billy Jean” and “Thriller.” Popular streamers Kai Cenat and Fanum also appear in scenes that allude to the riot at their PS5 giveaway last month.
Offset also made an appearance on the controversial Bobbi Althoff’s podcast. Previously featuring big names like Lil Yachty, Drake, and J Balvin, “The Really Good Podcast” is often a topic of hot discussion online due to the host’s off-putting personality. In an unexpected turn, Offset was able to brush off Bobbi’s passive-aggressive jabs, telling her to “not flex for the gram” in a funny viral moment.
“Set it Off” will be the rapper’s first solo release since 2019’s “FATHER OF 4.” The album will include exciting features, such as Latto, Travis Scott, and Future, confirmed in an exclusive from Variety published earlier this year.
“This is me going full-fledged into my solo career… The objective is to do it fully and smash sh– and f— the game up as a solo artist. I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.”
