Kodak Black has a friend in Drake.
During his interview with “The Breakfast Club” on Wednesday (Feb. 23), the “Super Gremlin” rapper opened up about his friendship with the OVO rapper.
“We do a lot behind the scenes talking and sh*t,” he said.
He revealed that Drake recently sent him $250,000. “The other week, that ni**a sent me a quarter million dollars for no fu**ing reason,” he said.
Drake texted him and told him to set up a Bitcoin account and then surprised him by sending over 6.6 coins, which equals roughly $250,000.
Charlamagne suggested that Drake and Kodak may have something in the works. Kodak remained coy, only saying, “You got a gift from God. We be on some shit, we be hollering and whatever.”
Prior to this, Drake praised Kodak. “You really all that for this generation and the next one if we being honest,” he told Kodak in January.
Elsewhere in the interview, Kodak opened up about being shot in the leg outside Justin Bieber’s after-party during Super Bowl weekend.
“That’s what I get for latching on these ni**as and shit,” he said. “I done did a lot of shit, Charlamagne. And it’s like, should I take my lit year? I thank God it wasn’t crazy like no whole other shit.”
Kodak is gearing up to drop his new album Back for Everything on Friday. He also has a collaboration with Ed Sheeran that he’s saving for his next album in August.
