Pusha season is here.
After much anticipation, Pusha T returns with his new single “Diet Coke.” The heavy-hitting track finds the rap kingpin slinging more dope rhymes over a knocking piano-driven beat, produced by Ye and 88-Keys.
The track opens with Fat Joe’s tagline “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price” before Pusha goes to war.
“Missy was our only misdemeanor / My tunnel vision’s better under stove lights / You ordered Diet Coke, that’s a joke, right?” he raps before declaring, “Far as I’m concerned, who’s the best? Me and Yezos.”
“Diet Coke” is the first single off Pusha’s upcoming album, the follow-up to 2018’s Daytona, which he has called the “album of the motherfu**ing year.”
“A Pusha album takes a long time. It takes a long time to put this shit together, but when it comes together, ain’t nothing fu**ing with it,” he told Complex. “We stamping that on everything. I don’t care what they say, how they act. I don’t care how viral they go, none of that. Nothing is fu**ing with it. I’m on some one thousand percent rap superhero shit, man.”
Pop open a “Diet Coke” below.
