Kanye West and Cardi B are teaming up for a special collaboration.
According to Page Six, the “WAP” rapper and Ye are set to film a music video at the Balenciaga store in Miami’s Design District sometime next week.
“West seems to be bringing Cardi into the fashion fold by shooting the music video at the store,” reports the outlet.
It’s unclear what the music video is for or what West’s involvement is, but this would mark their first collaboration. Both have new music on the way. Cardi B announced that her sophomore album would drop sometime in 2022, while Ye is working on DONDA 2.
Ye has been spotted at the Balenciaga store twice in the past week, including a visit on New Year’s Eve and again on Tuesday with Future. He also dressed his new girlfriend Julia Fox in his favorite designer during one of their dates.
On Friday, Ye announced that he is partnering with Balenciaga designer Demna Gvasalia on a project called Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga, with the goal of making “incredible product available to everyone at all times.”
Cardi also has ties to Balenciaga. She starred in the fashion house’s winter 2020 campaign, which was displayed on the famed Louvre museum in Paris.
