Before he drops his new album They Got Amnesia on Friday, French Montana is giving fans a reminder.
During his visit to Power 106’s L.A. Leakers, he served up a “6-piece” freestyle over Mobb Deep’s “Back at You,” Drake’s “No Friends in the Industry,” LL Cool J’s “I Shot Ya” and “The Truth,” and a pair of Notorious B.I.G. cuts, “You’re Nobody (Til Somebody Kills You)” and “Long Kiss Goodnight.”
He shouted out Quavo and Saweetie (“Word to Quavo / Every Saweetie had to tap in”) and Gucci Mane (“Back when Gucci charged me $5k for a verse / I asked for my money back and still used the verse”) while proclaiming himself “the baddest Bad Boy since Wallace.”
“I was dreaming out of Africa, that’s like breaking out of Alcatraz at Attica / And I been humble for a decade, while your favorite rapper in the precinct writing essays,” raps the Coke Boy.
They Got Amnesia, French’s first album in two years, features collaborations with Drake, Doja Cat, John Legend, Rick Ross, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Latto, and more.
