Summer is back in season.
Ahead of her new album, Summer Walker teams up with JT of City Girls on her new single “Ex for a Reason.” On the ’90s-inspired R&B jam, produced by Buddah Bless and Sean Garrett, Summer kicks her unfaithful man to the curb, while JT gives him a piece of her mind.
“Don’t fight over a ni**a that got his attention all over the place….I hope y’all learn from my mistakes,” said Summer, who broke up with her baby daddy London On Da Track earlier this year.
Summer’s sophomore album Still Over It, the follow-up to her 2019 debut Over It, arrives Nov. 5. She revealed that the 20-track album will open with a song called “Bitter” and end with “Ciara’s Prayer,” narrated by Ciara herself.
“‘Still over it’ is a story…. And every story has its beginning!” said Summer, who has been in the studio with collaborators including SZA, Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, Omarion, and Pharrell Williams.
