Lil Wayne and Drake bring out the best in each other.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of Tha Carter IV, Wayne hosted a Twitter Q&A where he answered questions from fans about his classic album.
During the “Ask Wayne” session, one fan asked if he’s ever received a verse that was “so hot” it caused him to go back and redo his verse, and he didn’t hesitate when responding with his Young Money protégé.
“The answer is the same person every time and that person is Drake,” he said. “Everything Drake sent back, I always have to go back and [redo].”
“It’s always because he says something in there that make me be like, ‘Oh, I could make more of the song and capitalize more of the song off of something that he just said and that I didn’t say.’”
Wayne admitted that he has changed his verse “a billion times because of Drake.” “That’s always the person,” he added.
He also hinted at another collaboration with Drizzy on Certified Lover Boy by using the hashtag #CLB in his tweet.
Wayne is now back in the studio. He has three new projects on the way including I Am Not A Human Being III, ColleGrove 2 with 2 Chainz, and a collaborative album with Rich the Kid.
