A Dreamville vs. TDE Verzuz could be in the future.
Following The LOX and Dipset’s nostalgic Verzuz battle earlier this month, Bas said he would be down to do Verzuz against another one of hip-hop’s reigning collectives, TDE.
During an interview with DJ Carisma on Power 106, Bas was asked who would be a worthy competitor to Dreamville in Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s matchup series.
“It’s gotta be TDE, right?” responded Bas. “That’s family, but it be good competition, for sure.”
However, fans will have to be patient as there are no immediate plans for J. Cole and his squad to go head-to-head with Kendrick and his crew. “We gotta solidify everything,” added Bas.
The Dreamville MC also gave props to TDE’s Isaiah Rashad, who recently released his album The House Is Burning. “Shout out Isaiah Rashad,” he said. “Album is fire. Really enjoying that.”
Bas is readying a new project of his own. Last month, he dropped his summer-ready banger “The Jackie” featuring J. Cole and Lil Tjay.
