Planet Her is here.
Nearly two years after exploding onto the scene with Hot Pink, Doja Cat is back with the follow-up. In addition to the top 5 hit “Kiss Me More” with SZA and the steamy “Need to Know,” the star-studded set includes appearances from Young Thug, JID, and Ariana Grande, who guests on the euphoric “I Don’t Do Drugs.” The Weeknd duets with Doja on the slow-burning second single “You Right,” for which she has also released an epic video.
“It’s people that I respect and I’m extremely excited about having on the album and it’s a full-circle moment for me, basically,” Doja told V Magazine of the guest list.
The 14-track album has been receiving favorable reviews from critics. “Despite the weak start, Doja Cat fulfills her promise on Planet Her,” writes The Associated Press, while Stereogum proclaims, “It’ll easily go down as one of the finest pop albums of 2021.”
