On the heels of his chart-topping album Slime Language 2, Young Thug releases the video for Young Stoner Life’s “Paid the Fine” featuring Gunna, Lil Baby, and YTB Trench.
In the heartwarming clip, the YSL crew bails out around 30 inmates from Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail. Working with the district attorney’s office, lawyers, prosecutors, and bond companies, Thug paid the bonds for the individuals, who were being held on minor/petty offenses but were unable to afford the bail money.
Cameras were rolling as the inmates reunited with their loved ones in an emotional display. Upon their release, they also sat down to celebrate with a home-cooked meal.
“This is where we are from,” said Thug. “We just woke up and went to the jail with the lawyer and you know DAs and all the prosecutors, you know, the bonding companies and just got as many people as we can out…It feels so good to the point where you start feeling that’s why God put me here. He put me here to do this.”
“Paid the Fine” is the latest visual taken from Slime Language 2 following “Ski” and “Real.” The compilation, which features appearances from Drake, Travis Scott, and Big Sean, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
