Pusha-T is nearing completion on his new album.
The rapper reveals that he has 12 songs done for the untitled project. During an Instagram Live interview (via HipHop-N-More), he gave an update on the follow-up to 2018’s Daytona.
“I feel like I have some extras right now, but I’m gonna keep 12,” said Pusha-T, who plans to return to the studio with Kanye West. “I gotta go sit in with Ye for a little bit but other than that, it’s just these 12.”
When it does drop, he’s confident it will be the best album of the year. “I’ma have the best album when it drops in 2021, for sure.”
Back in December, the new dad revealed that the project will be made up of production from Kanye and The Neptunes.
“As of right now, it’s only Ye and Pharrell…and Neptunes. That’s it,” said King Push, who was recently in the studio with Pharrell. “You know I bring the best out of everybody.”
It’s been three years since Pusha-T’s last album, Daytona, which was produced entirely by Kanye. The critically-acclaimed project debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album.
