After several months apart, Chris Brown has reunited with his son Aeko.
On Tuesday, Chris took to Instagram to share a photo from the sweet reunion with his 10-month-old baby boy and his mother, Ammika Harris. Chris is pictured on an outdoor bench alongside a smiling Ammika, who holds Aeko in her arms.
It’s unclear where the reunion took place, but Chris likely traveled to Germany where Aeko and Ammikka have been since the coronavirus travel restrictions in March. Ammika flew to Germany with the couple’s son in January and decided to stay overseas with her family to prevent risking their son’s health. The restrictions did not allow U.S. citizens to fly to Germany.
“That’s just not a risk they’re willing to take right now,” an insider told HollywoodLife earlier this year. “Chris and Ammika know they have all the time in the world and will be reunited when the time is right.”
Chris and Ammika welcomed Aeko Catori Brown last November. The proud dad even has a tattoo of his son’s face on his hand, along with a tattoo of his daughter Royalty on his back.
While they were apart, Aeko FaceTimed with his dad, who often shares photos of his son on social media. “Chris was able to see Aeko on Father’s Day and he gets updated with texts of pictures all the time,” said an insider. “When they can FaceTime, they do it often because Chris is genuinely interested in all of what Aeko does. He wants to see Aeko as soon as possible and he is trying to figure out how that can happen every single day.”
While both Chris and Ammika remain loving parents to Aeko, they are reportedly no longer together. Last week, the singer was spotted holding hands on set of his music video with his new girlfriend, Gina Huynh.
