Using the essence of life to inspire conscious tunes, Tipsy Doberman releases his debut album, “T.H.C – The Higher Consciousness.”
Christopher Snipes Ajagun, born and raised in the rich culture of Nigeria is the son to a Southern Nigerian father and Western Nigerian mother. He grew up in the Northern region in the city of Kaduna where his passion for music was nurtured. Influenced by the late iconic legend, Bob Marley, Christopher learned to appreciate all genres and styles of music. In time, he would embrace other musical greats like Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Nina Simone, Wu Tang Clan, Naughty by Nature, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and Eminem.
He would later adopt the alias Tipsy Doberman and for over two decades used his talent as a songwriter to create musical art for other artists. His sound was unique, representing what he categorized, Conscious Tunes, which made listeners reflect on their inner selves and lives. Embracing his Rastafarian heritage, Tipsy Doberman promotes love and denounces hate and discrimination, however, his beliefs lie in that of balance. This gives rise to the depth of his topics speaking on subjects like love and war, peace and suffering, the good and the bad among others.
Having accomplished the milestone of signing to Blue Genie Music, Tipsy Doberman released the lead singles “Streetz,” “Sad Love Song,” and “Ololufe” before dropping his debut project, “T.H.C – The Higher Consciousness.” The 12-track compilation was curated behind the scenes while juggling his 9-5 job. With the help of his friend, Charlie to complete the process of getting it ready for streaming platforms, the project arrived to eagerly waiting fans.
Tipsy Doberman is making Nigeria proud. Already focusing ahead on his career, he has begun work on the sequel to “T.H.C – The Higher Consciousness.” Be sure to follow the versatile artist and stream his debut project.
