Recruiting Chicago vocalist, Kenya, and Slum Village rapper, T3, Centric drops his sensual jazzy single, “Always On My Mind.”
Born and raised in the Bay Area, California, Christopher Mandujan’s taste for music was impacted by producers and musicians like Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Pete Rock, Kanye West, Timbaland and DJ Premier. He would discover his own talent to create genius compositions and adopted the alias Centric, becoming 1/2 of the Hip-Hop duo, “Grand Opus.” Centric held one goal, to shape the future of music with his own legacy as a record producer and music composer. That dream flourished into accolades and achievements inclusive of production credits for Grammy Award winning and nominated artists of varying genres along with curating music for television and film for mega-platforms as MTV, VH1, NFL, and BET among others.
With his upcoming album, “Love Received” scheduled for a year end arrival, Centric has released the latest single, “Always On My Mind” featuring Chicago singer-songwriter, Kenya and Slum Village co-founder and member, T3. Together they give birth to a jazz and soul infused track revolving around love and feelings of passion. The perfect rebirth of an era lost to the music industry. Centric’s production hypnotizes listeners in a trance of rhythmic melodies merging blues, jazz, soul, and rap in unified harmony. As Kenya’s voice flows over the beat like the sunrise shining over the oceanic horizon, T3 adds his smooth lyrical delivery like silk of the finest linen. With the production value of Centric, they create a vibe that mirrors the heart and warms the soul.
What Centric has accomplished in his tenure in the industry is just a taste of his creative depth. Check out his latest single, “Always On My Mind” featuring Kenya and T3 while awaiting the arrival of his upcoming album, “Love Received.”
