On September 26, Victoria Monét unveiled the tracklist for her upcoming album JAGUAR II (Deluxe), set to release on October 4. This deluxe edition will feature 10 new songs, starting with “D**k at Night,” followed by the Thundercat collaboration “Don’t Sleep.” The highly anticipated track “SOS (Sex on Sight)” featuring Usher will serve as the third entry on the album.
The tracklist also includes “2Sexy (Interlude)” and “Love Is Stronger Than Pride,” which appears to be a cover of Sade’s classic from 1988. Additionally, fans can look forward to Monét’s duet with Bryson Tiller titled “We Might Even Be Falling In Love.”
Fans expressed their excitement in the comments, with one writing, “Thank you, Mother, for feeding us. We were starving!” Another added, “This deluxe edition is giving lover girl energy. The heat is up!” There were also calls for a second leg of The Jaguar Tour, with SZA simply commenting, “Period!”
The original JAGUAR II, released in August 2023, included tracks like “On My Mama,” “Smoke,” and “How Does It Make You Feel,” and won Best R&B Album at the 66th Grammy Awards.
In personal news, Monét and her longtime partner John Gaines recently announced their split after keeping it private for ten months. In a joint statement, they emphasized their commitment to co-parenting their daughter Hazel: “We both just have some fundamental growing to do that would be best done apart… We still think the world of each other and operate with love in every interaction for our family.”
