Hip hop has a lot of rich history that has been lost over the years. Luckily TD HYPE Production is giving the world access to some priceless NFT treasures, the first being a rare DMX demo tape.
NFT is the new label. Through resources made possible by the crypto-verse, the music industry is going through an innovative change that gives artists a level of creative control like never seen before. Mr. Greg Trotman formerly known from Trotman and Dofat Productions out of Mt Vernon NY, has partnered with his two nephews Nick Taylor and Hallie “Rock” Bolden to form a new NFT company called “We Good to Go NFTs LLC. and are releasing the Dmx “The Great”Lost Reel Collection this Jan. 2022
Being around since the 90’s, TD HYPE Production was responsible for bringing the late legendary DMX to the world after Greg saw his performance at The Palace in New Rochelle, NY in 1991 and helped in early development of him which lead into the icon he eventually became. This partnership gave life to a rare demo that belonged to DMX’s first body of work that went on to receive praises from The Source Mag. This token will become the first NFT release through the TD HYPE UNSIGNED HYPE’S LOST REEL COLLECTION which features soon to be released audio NFTs on every artist they have collaborated with at hip hop’s pioneering era. These will include the female rap duo, Back To Back, The Rough House survivors, Champ Mc, and Top Quality.
DMX was chosen as their first feature as he was one of hip hop’s most prolific artists, but few had heard him at his eagerly pure, raw form. This NFT release comes in January 2022 and will show the world a side of X like never seen before; young, talented, and a unstoppable force. It will feature 5 different NFTs Created by renowned digital artist Ian Lawrence based out of Atl Ga. Each NFT which will be a part of a collection that once the artwork is purchased you get to hear the unreleased song associated with that NFT. And will be un- attached upon specific details. The 5-track demo with songs, “Unstoppable Force,” “Spellbound,” “Three Little Pigs,” “Gyrls Gyrls,” and the bonus unreleased cut, “THATS THE WAY I LIKE IT” were all produced by TD HYPE PRODUCTIONS and will be a timeless piece NFT for Years would be an understatement. A must have!
Hulda Hicks was born in Brooklyn, NY in the late ’70s, at the time when Hip-Hop music was just emerging as an art form. Her entire life was influenced by the culture, having grown up in the epicenter of the creative movement.
As a trained musician and vocalist, Hulda got exposed to the industry in her twenties and has worked on projects with iconic figures such as the Chiffons, the Last Poets, and Montell Jordan, to name a few. Her passion for music extended past the stage on to the page when she began to write ad copy and articles as a freelancer for several underground publications.
