Raptology: As an artist, what is the hardest part of what you do?
SM: As an artist you have to constantly build relationships, consistently work and be awesome at 20 different jobs, sometimes it becomes exhausting trying to make content better then the previous always trying to maintain the highest spot.
Raptology: Who or what was your influence on music?
SM: As you know I’ve been in and out of trouble with the law since I was a kid. While being on prison this last time I did 7 yrs and built a relationship with a friend who showed me the greater things in life. His name was Jeremy and a great hiphop artist. He made me dream and believe. Him along with all my other homies that will never get out push me to keep going everyday, to fight for what only a percent get the chance to take advantage of.
Raptology: Who would you most like to collaborate with?
SM: Duh DRAKE… but na to be realistic I would love to collab with CASKEY or G EASY. The swag, ambition and hustle they have is just my style. They have that dont f*#k with me vibe but keep it business 100%. That’s me.
Raptology: If you could open a show for any artist who would it be?
SM: As of right now my favorite would be someone you wouldnt expect, Tory lanz… Damn dude get the crowd going with his soulful voice and loving autotuned voice hahaha…opening for him would get the crowd even more lit for him because I’m a hype type rapper I love performing.
Raptology: What is your creative process like?
SM: I just feel the beat and whatever it brings to mind it brings usually it’s something people could relate to or an in depth feeling or emotion I wanna pour out to show people my heart or my pain. The beat is always what I run to first.
Raptology: What are you working on right now?
SM: Right now I have about 3 mixtapes ready, as you know I mix and master and have my own recording studio so it’s very easy to record and move forward without having to rely on other people for help, basically everything I do is me images BRANDING and promotion also. my main focus is building awareness on social media so please go and follow me…wink wink…
Hulda Hicks was born in Brooklyn, NY in the late ’70s, at the time when Hip-Hop music was just emerging as an art form. Her entire life was influenced by the culture, having grown up in the epicenter of the creative movement.
