The film and music industry are the powerhouses of the business world. Artist and filmmaker Streetlord Rook is capitalizing on every opportunity with his new film “One More Flip” and lead single “Don’t Trust These Hoes.”
Coming up in the streets of Detroit, Michigan, Kwende Ried always had a love for music and film. As he aged, he would be influenced by rappers like E40, Tupac, Jay Z, Drake, and J Cole, but he also held an interesting attraction to the world of business. This inspired his career under the alias Streetlord Rook which originated from his earlier stage name, Rook, being the youngest of the legendary Streetlordz rap group that was involved in a 40-million-dollar marijuana drug conspiracy.
To date, Streetlord Rook has worked with several mainstream artists and has also launched his film company Chedda Boy Films. He has released several independent films including his 2000 debut “Envy” starring Ray J, LisaRaye Mcoy, and Maia Campbell. Streetlord Rook has once again taken center stage with his upcoming film, “One More Flip” starring Sada Baby, Royce da 5’9, Payroll Giovanni and Mena Monroe scheduled for an October 1st release exclusively on Amazon Prime. Along with the film, Streetlord Rook will be the first person to launch a NFT for film and soundtrack with blockchain technology he welcomes other artists to utilize. “One More Flip” has already set the industry on fire after its March 20th premiere at Emagine Royal Oak. According to the Senior Director Of Event & Sales, Kyle Sinclair, “One More Flip” surpassed premiere turnout for blockbuster hits like AVENGERS: END GAME.
Streetlord Rook is taking over both music and film. He has enlisted Sada Baby and Payroll Giovanni as features for the urban trap inspired lead single “Don’t Trust These Hoes” off the soundtrack. Follow his social media for updates on new music and his new film “One More Flip.”
