Following his passion for hip hop, up and coming artist Vybez Visionz is picking up momentum and growing his impact in the industry.
In the city of Toronto, Canada, the underground hip hop scene is alive and home to many talented artists that have the potential to go mainstream. One such artist is the melodic lyricist, Vybez Visionz. At the age of 12, he would discover his passion for hip hop when he heard the likes of Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy. From then forward it was his dream to become as iconic as the artists that influenced and inspired his love for the genre.
As the sophomore period of his High School attendance came around, Vybez would dive deeper into the hip hop scene, recording tracks of his own. At that time, SoundCloud was at the peak of the industry and the platform that housed every track that Vybez Visionz released. He would continue working on his craft while uploading songs, but as time went on, his enthusiasm slowly faded when the reception of his music wasn’t as progressive as he expected. Vybez would step away from the rap game to focus on other things. It was the creation of the rap collective YMM through Toronto music group MMC (Money Mission Coalition) that sparked the passion back in the heart of Vybez Visionz, bringing him back into the world of music.
With his return as an artist, his focus and dedication were determined to bring the Toronto underground hip hop space to the spotlight through his music. In summer of 2018 he debuted his return with his first EP, “XTATIC.” The project was a collaborative project with artist Jinx YMM famously known from the rap collective YMM. As his buzz was on the rise, Vybez kept the momentum going in summer of 2019 with the release of his first mixtape “Visionaire” which saw his talent on hits like “Touchdowns” and “Collect Calls.” This time around, Vybez Visionz was gaining traction and his fan base was proof that his music was making an impact. He would keep the flow of music coming with the release of his next single, “Insane” alongside YMM Artist, North Ace, which used the ambition of Vybez Visionz to inspire listeners to get up and go get it. Vybez Visionz was becoming known as the artist to look out for every year, and 2020 it was no different. He would drop the visual for the summer anthem, “Drop a Stack” that to date has accumulated over 100,000 views on YouTube.
With his increasing position in hip hop, Vybez Visionz is realizing his dreams and shedding light on the talent that resides in Toronto. His unique combination of melodies and lyricism with R&B influenced sounds has made him an artist appreciated on a global scale. His most recent musical offering has been well received by fans. With the help of fellow MMC Artist, Rambo D, Vybez has curated the chill single “Changes.” The track tells a story relatable to any that listens to the words in its melodies. Vybez depicts the experiences of life through the constant transitions faced by humanity when dealing with relationships and friendships. It’s more than a dope composition, but a song that creates a mellow mood to motivate and influence perspective on life. Vybez plans to release an accompanying video to the track at the coming of July before showing fans what else he has in store.
