27 Agencies form Operation Windstar to Stop the Bloody Case Gang vs Stubby ENT Gang War

What up gang. Back with the real you know what’s the deal. There’s rap beef, and then there’s street beef. One is all for clout and most times carried out by dudes that claim gang but don’t bang. The other though, often has a trail of bodies behind, and sadly this one we’re talking about today falls under that category. Case Gang vs Stubby Gang. The two have been a source of terror for the city of Oakland with robberies, shootings, and homicides. The bloodshed and shootings became so out of hand that law enforcement had to enlist the help of 27 agencies to go after the gangs in what they called Operation Windstar

But this goes much deeper than on the surface with a lot more bodies and gruesome murders. These gangs were ruthless and seemed to be addicted to violence. Brace yourselves because we’re about to chop it up and break down the operation that slowed down the murder rate and the deadly beef between these two gangs.

Going through this case and the background of these gangs, it was evident that some people are infatuated with violence. Case Gang was built on these types of youths. In fact, Case Gang is the modern representation of their origins, Nut Cases.

Just off the gang’s name, you can tell these were a group not to be messed with, and the tragic case of the 10-week crime spree in late 2002 and early 2003 was proof. Reports state that the crimes included five slayings and scores of robberies throughout Oakland by six alleged killers who called themselves the Nut Cases which began with the slaying of a victim in front of his wife and toddler.

Their leader, Leon “Twan” Wiley was of the most ruthless and was sentenced to life imprisonment without possibility of parole.

The entire case is really a unique one with those involved admitting they practiced on Grand Theft Auto before going out and committing their crimes. It’s an entire background by itself so let me know if you’d like me to do a vid just on that.

With the members of the OG Nut Cases dead or in jail, the new era picked up the torch and goes by the name Case gang or 4’s. Their main base of operation is located in the 90’s area often referred to as Bossland but their set is spread throughout East Oakland.

This can be seen in Case gang member names like Bossland Chris who is also currently being accused of being a snitch as paperwork appeared online calling him out

On the opposing end of the gang rivalry is the Stubby Gang or 3’s who are in alliance with their affiliate gangs like the 2’s aka 2Letter Gang. Stubby Gang is also widely known as ENT which was formed to pay homage to lost homies in the streets (E for Edward Hampton. N For Nario Jackson. T for Taliban). It is alleged that these members were Nario Jackson and Edward Hampton who lost their lives on November 6th, 2010, while in a car on the 1000 block of Eighth Street in West Oakland.

One year later Nario’s brother, Najon Jackson would meet a similar faith by a rival gang member which is speculated to be associated with Case Gang.

The last letter, “T” is for Taliban, allegedly for a member that was gunned down by cops, however I haven’t been able to verify that information, but given the other two are solid then it goes that this holds true. This is also referenced in a case for first degree murder and other home invasion crimes with an ENT member going by the name Austin. Police documents claim that Austin was one who formed the gang 20 years ago and confirmed the ENT name being a memorial to friends. What’s crazier, bro committed crimes and still kept it solid to keep the gang out of it, saying that he committed these crimes simply for personal pleasure for himself and his family. The 20-year span lines up with the time of death by Nario and Edward.

ENT is known to be predominantly in the Ghost Town area and can also be members of the Ghost Town Gang given their close alliance. In the same case against the ENT member Austin, Rodriguez, a member of both gangs broke down the connection between the two to law enforcement.

As you can see the history and ties in these gangs go way back, but this beef between ENT and Case Gang have had the city of Oakland in fear. They never hid their hate for each other, even going at it on live https://youtu.be/oh4p6oD82Rw (4:20-4:37)

The list of bodies and crimes were so long that law enforcement created a 27 agency strong task force to put into play what is now known as Operation Windstar and they have an entire timeline from January 2020 right up to January 2021 that breaks down stabbings, shootings, and homicides https://youtu.be/80Gb7Z1vaLM (19:20-19:34)

But one murder in particular pushed them to crack down on the gang. In an April 21st 2021 press conference, the entire scope of the investigation was made public. It was the targeted hit of Case gang member Daunzhay Young in Antioch on August 29, 2020 that brought down the full force of the law on the gang beef.

He had to have done something to really set off ENT because they’ve been trying to catch him lacking for a minute. Cops detailed that he survived being shot on July 13th just one month before they doubled back to finish the job, and this time it was brutal.

Daunzhay Young was murdered in broad daylight, in a quiet residential neighborhood, on Tioga Pass Way in Antioch.  He was chased on-foot while being gunned down by a male subject who used a rifle caliber AR pistol.  After Young fell, the suspect stood over him finishing him off in what authorities call an execution-style tactic https://youtu.be/80Gb7Z1vaLM (0:29-1:20)

The investigation would lead officers to surveillance video and eyewitness testimonies which led them to find the suspects responsible who fled the scene in a silver Ford Windstar minivan.

An eyewitness was able to help officers with a sketch, which connected the dots and led to the ENT gang members that carried out the hit, and the realization was shocking. It was the father son duo of Charles Bolden Sr. and Charles Bolden Jr https://youtu.be/80Gb7Z1vaLM (5:50-6:31) The reality began to be even more clear, this isn’t just random youths committing crime, but youths bred and trained by old heads to continue the gang’s ruthless nature.

It’s no wonder this assassination lit a fire under law enforcement which led them down the rabbit hole of gang-related homicides, attempted homicides, and shootings both before and after the hit on Young’s head.

Operation Windstar recreated a timeline of crimes with the discoveries of the investigation linking a whoppin’ seventeen shootings involving the gang war between ENT and Case gang. Just over the past year of Operation Windstar, Antioch had one homicide, five shooting victims, and four shootings where no known victims were identified.  In Oakland, they had one homicide, six shooting victims, and three shootings where no known victims were identified. It was out of control.

The crimes are so extensive between the two gangs that we’d be here for a while if breaking down all, so I’d go in detail on some of the main ones but link reports of each found by the investigation.

February 27, 2021, approximately 1:34 PM, Antioch police officers were called to the 4600-block of Golf Course Road on a report of a shooting. The 21-year-old Case gang member hopped out of his vehicle at the gas station on Lone Tree Way in Antioch where he was ambushed by an ENT associate and shot ten times with a 10mm semi-automatic firearm. After falling to the floor, his opp stood over him and struck him in the head with the firearm before dipping in a whip. Case gang members would return fire before rushing the victim to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Case Gang members would spin the block that same day looking for revenge. They would spot and open fire on ENT members at Capp Street and Brookdale Avenue where ENT associates are known to kick it. Officers would respond and after several foot-chases, seven Case gang members were detained along with seven firearms.

Ten days later, on March 9, 2021, ENT members were out for blood on Aspen Way. They sat outside a 21-year-old Case Gang member’s home lurking in the whip for hours. When he exited his crib and entered his car with a passenger, ENT drove up and opened fire, critically injuring the driver and wounding the passenger. Luckily, the Case Gang affiliate survived. https://youtu.be/80Gb7Z1vaLM (4:53-5:24)

Later, cops would conduct searches alongside SWAT and Tactical Teams at Antioch, Fitzuren Road, Toyon Way, Merced on Willowbrook Drive, Modesto, and Los Angeles. Combined with eyewitness descriptions and surveillance of the suspect vehicle, a dark blue 4-door Hyundai Sonata, officers arrested Eric Windom and Keyshawn McGee. But they didn’t stop there. A fugitive apprehension team consisting of the Antioch Problem Oriented Policing Team and undercover detectives, attempted to contact suspect, Trent Allen who was in a vehicle at the time of sighting. Allen hooped out the whip and fled on-foot through a business parking lot and was chased through a residential neighborhood before being apprehended. Later that same day they located Terryonn and Armonie Pugh, both parolees-at-large, hiding out in an apartment complex in American Canyon.  With the assistance of American Canyon PD, and the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, Terryonn Pugh was taken into custody as he tried to flee to a waiting vehicle.  Armonie Pugh was taken into custody, without incident, and with a search warrant, a firearm and a large amount of cash were seized. All were arrested for the attempted murder and drive-by shooting at Aspen Way with Pugh being additionally arrested for the attempted murder at the Lone Tree Way gas station.

The Antioch Investigations Bureau spared no resources, they went all out. A total of 100 search warrants were approved and served which gave cops the authority to knock down doors of every gang member involved. They came out with as much as Forty firearms, including assault weapons, fifteen of which were ‘Ghost Guns’ with their serial numbers erased and over $100,000 in cash. This type of artillery was labeled by Oakland Police Chief Armstrong, as weapons used in war, yet they were on the streets in the hands of youths https://youtu.be/80Gb7Z1vaLM (14:20-14:30)

The Oakland community is tired, tired of the violence, tired of the fear, tired of the gang war, tired of the murders https://youtu.be/yfS93GtSJ-g (5:01-5:25) The situation is referred to as an epidemic of violence https://youtu.be/eUBkqwklmog (1:25-1:39) Hopefully the efforts of law enforcement with Operation Windstar does big enough a dent to dismantle both ENT and Case gang strength and bring some sense of peace to citizens trying to live. Be safe Oakland. Sorry for all those that got lost along the street life. Ya’ll worth more than this, hope the rest that are still alive find a way out.
