Joe Budden wants to be down with Brandy.
While speaking with Ray J on his “Joe Budden Podcast,” the rapper-podcast host made it clear that he has feelings for the R&B icon and even tried to shoot his shot.
“Is Brandy single?” asked Joe following Brandy’s record-breaking Verzuz with Monica.
Ray J confirmed that his big sister was on the market before Joe professed his love for the Norwoods. “I love your family. I love the Norwoods,” he said.
But not just any man will do. Ray J informed Joe that his sister “needs a nice, good wholesome guy that’s gonna be honest.” And Joe is ready be that man. He pointed to himself, while his co-hosts argued, “That’s not Joe.”
“Don’t do that. I just told you I love Brandy,” said a flustered Joe, adding, “I might need to pull up.”
Ray J seemed to give his approval (“You’re a good guy”) and said he would put in a good word for him with Brandy, who happened to be with him. “That’s big sis. She the boss, so I’ll let her know,” he said to an excited Joe.
“Please send my love to your entire family,” added Joe, who has expressed his love for Brandy in the past.
Brandy has yet to directly respond to Joe. However, both are single. Budden and his fiancée, Cyn Santana, recently called off their engagement. Brandy’s last public relationship was with R&B singer Sir the Baptist in 2017.
