Bhad Bhabie has a brand new look.
The rapper, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, took to social media to share her glamorous transformation, including wavy brown locks with highlights and a full-beat face. As part of the reveal, she posted a TikTok video of herself holding an armful of Chanel bags while mocking her critics.
“Golly gee, I sure do look like the disappointment of the family, but isn’t it funny how I make the most fu**in’ money?” she said while recreating a TikTok trend.
Her new look received support from friends including India Love, while others compared it to another famous rapper. “Cardi B is that you,” commented one fan.
Bhad Bhabie has often been criticized for her appearance, including accusations of blackfishing. However, she still received backlash for her latest look, which she claims was an experiment.
“Y’all failed the test,” she told her critics. “We did a wig that had no type of curl to it, natural curl to it, and we did makeup lighter than my skin, with barely any contour, just to see if y’all would still make the comment, and you did,” she said. “So now I know, it’s not about me actually. ‘Oh, she looks this, she’s trying to look that.’ It’s literally that y’all just want a famous person to respond to you. That’s all it is.”
After parting ways with Warner Music earlier this year, Bhad Bhabie launched her own independent record label, BHAD Music, and dropped her new single “Miss Understood.”
She has also been advocating for artists to retain the masters to their music, citing Kanye West as an influence. “Kanye brought a lot of attention last year to artists owning their masters,” she told Variety. “I feel lucky to be 18 and now I get to own mine going forward. I have my own platform to get my music out to my fans.”
