Take a young Colombian with a clear and pure voice, catchy beats, hard-hitting lyrics, and a dose of romance. What happens if you mix all these elements? Mike Coner, a promise of Latin urban music.
At 15 years old, Mike Coner found himself alone and abandoned because of family problems. And it was his dream of music that took him from the streets to the stage. Last July, with the Canadian music label You Are Not Alone Records, he released his first EP, Destino o Casualidad.
What strikes in Destino o Casualidad is the natural flows and the good vibrations. The album begins with “Forever Alone”, a song in which the artist recounts his life, his fortunes, and misfortunes. “Tasca” and “Baila Baila” are the most danceable moments of the album and evoke nocturnal encounters in discotheques… With “Quedate” and “Distancia”, we see the most romantic facets of the artist in these love songs. The EP ends with “Leyenda”, a kind of balance sheet of the album which responds to the initial song while evoking the dreams of the singer’s generation.
Finally, a groovy sound with dreamy melodic arrangements, a super stylish and inviting vocal and a very sexy atmosphere. We’ll still remember the catchy and authentic beat of all the melodies of the album composed by Sawel Music, which produce their full effect!
This young talent from Colombia manages to create something new, fresh, and unique to the ear. Turn on your sound system and go listen to this production that stands out for its sincerity!
