J French not only makes timeless music but has achieved the milestone of being only the 3rd rapper invited to have his own TED Talk.
Oklahoma City born and raised; Jamal Rashaad French aka J French is one of hip-hop’s most coveted treasures. Versed as a rapper, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, his depth of music and sound has brought his craft to the pinnacle of perfection. This compliment to his talent is credited to his lyrical versatility and depth of subject matter that connects with audiences on a life level. Molded from the age of 12, his skills as an artist today are a manifestation of hard work, dedication, and a passion for creating quality music that can inspire the world.
To date, he has released multiple projects, the latest being his album, “Good Karma” under IV League Ent. The project is a motivation to every ear indulging in its cadence and words, yet still, J French wanted to give more of himself to impacting the world. To that end, he became one of three rappers that fills the honorary accolade of hosting their own TED Talk. First Kid Cudi, then Cordae, now J French has etched his name as an artist with more to give to the world than his music. As he stepped onto the stage on quite frankly one of the largest platforms, his words of wisdom left an impression on every person listening to his thoughts. J French challenged listeners to take hold of their story, leaving philosophical gems in quotes like “are we dumb enough to be scared, or are we brilliant enough to scare ourselves?” and “the universe is not made of atoms, the universe is made of stories.”
J French is a Grammy panelist, has surpassed 10 million streams on digital platforms, played on over 25 radio stations around the world, and still, he is inspiring lives. Listen to his TED Talk and take control of your story.
