During Megan Thee Stallion’s appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast, the former NFL star offered a heartfelt apology to the rapper for his previous inappropriate comments.
Sharpe acknowledged that in a past episode of the “Nightcap” podcast, he had made disturbing sexual remarks about Megan, stating that he would “have her stretched out like quarter to three” and that he “does it three ways: deep, hard and continuously.” He recognized that these comments were unacceptable and caused Megan and her family “unwanted attention, harm, shame or embarrassment.”
“I always wanted to sit down and talk with you, but I didn’t know if that was going to be possible [after my comments],” Sharpe told Megan. “I said it in jest, but I believe the joke would’ve been just as funny had I left you out of it. So, for any unwanted attention, harm, shame or embarrassment that I caused you or your family, I want to say, as a man, as I sit here before you, I apologize.”
Megan graciously accepted Sharpe’s apology, simply stating, “I appreciate that.” The two then shared a toast with Sharpe’s luxury cognac brand, Le Portier, to move forward in a positive manner.
During their conversation, Megan also discussed her upcoming tequila brand, revealing that Beyoncé had inspired her to launch her own alcoholic beverage. The Houston phenomenon expressed her desire to continue expanding her business ventures and creative endeavors.
Overall, the interview showcased Sharpe’s accountability and Megan’s professionalism, as the two navigated a sensitive topic with maturity and understanding.
