After 10 years of grinding in the music industry, LOZY drops the potent and diverse album, “Lozyverse” proving his versatility as an artist.
Chris Alozie Akomas Jnr, the Nigerian music artist has become a hip hop sensation under the stage name LOZY. Moving to Vancouver BC with his family as a teenager, he has plotted a route into the music industry. LOZY was drawn to artists multifaceted in nature like Kanye West, Drake, and Ne-Yo among others. Studying their craft, he evolved his own, encompassing a style unchained from any particular genre but able to create music across a mix of Hip hop, R&B, alternative and Afrocentric sounds. LOZY held something special in the booth, the talent to express his views across a myriad of lyrical flows and melodies.
With the debut of his EP, “No Doubts,” LOZY further captured the attention of listeners, but that was only the fuel before the fire. He followed up with the release of music videos “The Side” and “No Losses” before dropping his latest project, the album “Lozyverse.” This project goes beyond simply music, but is inspired by his life experiences and depth of his craft. Through the album, LOZY wanted listeners to find substance within every song but also curated each to present an atmosphere they can also vibe to. “Lozyverse” commences with LOZY rapping heat and spitting bars after which his melodic flow picks up on later tracks, culminating to a solid project in its entirety. LOZY crafted the project to give listeners insight into his mind, one that revolves around silence, strength, and confidence in his character no matter the critics in his way.
LOZY’s creative ability is one that has swayed crowds in performances across venues like Granville’s Studio Nightclub and Gastown Vancouver’s The Alexander. In time, he will go down in rap’s legacy as a legend. Check out his latest project, “Lozyverse” and indulge in topics spanning across hardships, triumphs, heartbreak, and relationships among others.
