Latto recently shared her experience of being detained at the airport and spending three days in jail after being wrongfully arrested. In response to a fan’s throwback video, she expressed the challenges she faced, including being pulled off a plane on her way to Punta Cana, facing wrongful arrest, dealing with public misconceptions, incurring significant legal fees, and having her vacation disrupted without any refunds.
Latto highlighted the ordeal of being profiled, misunderstood, and subjected to financial burdens due to the incident.
In an interview with The FADER, Latto recounted how she was approached by police officers during her trip to the Dominican Republic, leading to her detention and eventual transfer to a county jail.
Despite the distressing experience, it was revealed in court that there was no warrant for her arrest, shedding light on the unjust situation she had to endure.
While some on social media linked this incident to a past one at LAX in 2021, where Latto was apprehended for carrying a loaded firearm, she clarified that this recent ordeal was a separate incident.
Despite these challenges, Latto has continued to focus on her music career, releasing tracks like “Sunday Service,” “ISSA PARTY” with BabyDrill, and the successful “Seven” featuring Jung Kook.
Notably, Latto’s last album was “777” in 2022, featuring collaborations with artists like 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black. Her resilience in the face of adversity and her dedication to her music career continue to define her journey in the industry.
