Continuing his streak of fire releases, Lazarus BFTD drops the new single, “Holy Shii” adding to his string of bangers.
Toronto, Ontario native, Khaashif Garnett-Minott, is the rising rapper known under the alias, Lazarus BFTD (Back Frxmk The Dead). Having overcome the hardships of his incarceration to build his lane in the music industry, he moved to the city of Atlanta, Georgia. However, Toronto, Ontario saw his return after being deported back home. Since then, fans have seen the release of notable tracks like his recent single, “Tag (Hot Shit).” While the industry was turning up to the trap banger, Lazarus BFTD was already back in the studio putting in work on his next hit.
On December 31st, 2021, the Drill-inspired single, “Holy Shii” arrived on major streaming platforms. It was the first taste of Lazarus BFTD’s versatility over the gritty genre making its wave across the industry and the end result sounded like a rapper in his natural element. Lazarus BFTD brought the energy of a seasoned drill rapper, dropping lyrics that tell the tale of the streets and consequences to the lifestyle. The cadence is gritty, grimy, grievous; fitting for a song detailing what happens to those who claim the trenches but fail to keep it thorough with their dealings. While “Holy Shii” is inducting Toronto into the drill scene, it also serves as a dedication to Lazarus BFTD’s incarcerated homie, Derrius Redding aka ThreeJay Ali, who played a major role in him focusing on music. Through Lazarus BFTD, his homie is able to live both their dreams of making it big in the rap game.
Lazarus BFTD came through with the heat on his new single, “Holy Shii.” With lyrical creativity, catchy hook, and membrane punchlines, the UK-influenced beat turned into one of his best songs to date. Follow his socials and check out the new banger, “Holy Shii.”
